▶ CHARACTER
NAME: Ren Amamiya
CANON: Persona 5
CANON POINT: End of Game (Best Ending)
AGE: 17
BACKGROUND: Profile History is pretty extensive. Basically; did the right thing to help someone, was expelled for it, had adventures with friends in various skin-tight outfits while being used by a god-like entity for his personal game, Satan saved Christmas.
PERSONALITY:
- Confident
If there's one major trait about Ren, it's that despite any and all obstacles placed before him, he remains confident about his own skills and (most of all) himself and his convictions. This permits him not only to fight efficiently, but he's completely ready to go on full ham if he needs be - Ren is certainly not above making terrible puns...and honestly tends to do so a lot. Even when he takes on a slightly calmer more silent personality, hiding his true rebellion nature, there's an air to him that suggests there's more to him than meets the eye and he's perfectly content with that.
- Rebellious/Defiant
Speaking of rebellious, Ren is very much the 'row row fight the power' type of guy. Well, more like 'punish the shitty adults that deserve it'. When him and his friends obtained the power to go into the metaverse and the ability to change the hearts of people to essentially force them to become better people, he fully took on the role. Ren is the type to look at the safe path, not give a shit about it, and then walk right into the more dangerous one if it promises to be more interesting. He'll stand up to others who threaten him, and will do the same for those that become close to him.
- Kind-Hearted
Continuing the gentleman thief characteristics, Ren's own heart is in the right place. Even if his methods are not exact orthodox and he can be a little shit, in the end he always tries to do the right thing. Even if the right thing is not always the easiest or the most popular, or gets you expelled from your school. He cares deeply about his friends and his family and is more than willing to protect them at all costs, including his own life.
If you make a friend of Ren, you've made a friend for life.
- Over-Confident/Cocky
Someone who catches on to who Ren is may be able to manipulate him and use his confidence against him. An example of this in the game is when the Phantom Thieves become increasingly popular; Ren doesn't really question himself why this is happening and how they are suddenly incredibly well-known. He just takes it as a simple reaction to the public being on his side and what they are doing. Unfortunately this comes crashing in their faces, and they are essentially played and toyed with to grave consequences. Playing against his cocky attitude can work well too.
- Reckless
Going hand-in-hand with the over-confidence is the recklessness that accompanies Ren's actions can put him in serious danger. As mentioned before, he's willing to die for his friend, and will do stupid stunts to keep them safe. At worst, this could lead to terrible things and endangering his own life. Make him believe a friend is in danger and, well, you can easily manipulate him. Just be careful who you're trying to trick. The trickster will not be pleased.

▶ POWERS/ABILITIES:
PERSONAS
As with other characters from the Persona universe and the series' namesake, Ren has the ability to summon parts of him made flesh to combat the hardships of life. But Ren is a little more special than that:
WILD CARD PERSONA ABILITY
The Wild Card Ability represents the number zero. It is infinite possibilities and lets Ren use any Persona he can craft in the Velvet Room, compared to his friends who are limited to just one. This is why his code name in the Phantom Thieves if Joker; he is their ace in the hole.
Personas grant him a number of skills in both magical and physical sense (although the Personas are doing the actions, not Ren himself). He can cast various fire, ice, lightning and wind spells with some, create barriers that protect against physical or magical attacks, heal wounds, charm monsters, or even cause mini-nuclear blowouts with his more powerful ones.
DUAL WILD CARD SPECIAL
If a Wild Card user meets another, it also grants the ability for non-wildcard persona users to be able to switch to an a single, additional Persona as well (this was shown in Persona Q and will be in PErsona Q2). I mention this in case another Wild Card ends up getting accepted in the game. I have no idea if this applicable to the game at all, but I thought it important to note.
PERSONA USER BUFF
All Persona users get increased endurance and agility. Attacks that would normally kill or badly harm someone might just be incredibly painful for them (so basically, the difference between bleeding to death from a wind attack, vs feeling like someone punched you really hard in your gut). This changes drastically depending on which Persona is 'equipped' in Ren's mind. A persona that is weak to fire would cause a much larger burn than normal, for example.
DAGGERS
Ren is extremely skilled with his blade and overall dagger usage in general. In a pinch he can even use kitchen knifes if he doesn't have his trusted weapons.
AGILITY
He is above average build and strength, enhanced thanks to his Persona skills, but Ren's true skill is his inhumane agility. He can almost cartoonishly move from one place to another without being seen, and is the very definition of a gentleman thief, here today, already gone when you show up. When he's Joker, his abilities to sneak are increased to an even greater degree.
3RD EYE
This is something that 'Igor' (Yaldabaoth) gave him. While the 3rd eye was mostly used in the metaverse, it does have some usage 'real world' (to spot your social links, npcs, etc), To use it, Ren just has to think about it and BAM instant color-coded vision.
Copied from the wiki;
- Stealable items gain a yellow glow.
- Intractable places like gaps and ledges have exclamation marks over them.
- Overworld shadows gain a glowing outline that depends on how threatening they are. Hardest ones gain a red outline, medium ones gain a yellow one and the least dangerous encounters glow with a blue color.
- In the real world, Third Eye can be used to examine on-screen locations that can be used for daily activities (NPCs, shops, confidants and Velvet Room locations).
I figure this could be interesting, and plan on using it for various heists that Ren might end up doing depending on what happens in the game. I also feel for this game the colors might be more NEON if you catch my meaning.
DANCING
He can dance pretty well as shown from the Persona 5 dancing game (look don't judge my franchise it can get pretty weird, still waiting for the racing game it will totally happen one day just you watch)

▶ INVENTORY:
1) Summon | Persona : Satanael Elemental Build
2) Summon | Persona : Yoshitsune
3) Summon | Persona : Trumpeter
4) Summon | Persona : Ishtar
5) Weapon | Gun : Tyrant Pistol (Ma +10) IMPORTANT GAME NOTE: In the game, the weapon wasn't real and only worked because it looked real in the metaverse for people to believe it. Let me know if it would work since I assume he can summon and this world has Metaverse-like properties!
6) Weapon | Dagger : Paradise Lost (Reduce Curse dmg (high) - Same deal here. This is a hyper realistic dagger that isn't a real dagger in the real world normally.
